I used to read DDN all the time. I mostly found issues at head-shops; however, I haven't heard of or seen an issue in about 14 years. I also don't go to head-shops anymore. I bet you can find old issues on ebay

I handed them out, collected and subscribed. I have most of them, including the Xeroxed copies. I haven't read them in years, but I remember breathlessly waiting to see what the latest set lists were on 'tour', among other things. A collectable now that they closed up shop years ago.
Does anyone that was involved w/ DDN post here?

someone should contribute their copies up for someone else to scan and return. i would be interested in doing that for someone with the wide-format scanners here at my work.

i bought one issue of DDN way back, but i have no idea if i even have it anymore, i probably got rid of it in one of my periodic, oh-crap-i-have-too-much-stuff, let-me-get-rid-of-everything moods; here're a few that survived the flames

(i used to be music-mag junkie)

Hey Arb, your 'Gearhead' cover made me remember meeting 'Big Daddy' Roth. He drew one of his images on my t-shirt when I was a kid. I have no idea what happened to that shirt or any of the crazy models I built of his wacky hot rods.

Yes, I remember enjoying DDN back in the day.

You've reminded me of a great British magazine called Swing 51 that was produced around the beginning of the '80s by a guy called Ken Hunt. Unusually (for the punk-brainwashed UK music press at that time) it/he was hugely into Grateful Dead, David Grisman, folk music and world music of all kinds; turned me on to trying and buying loads and loads of LPs which I'll never throw away.
